The purpose of this role is to :-


Responsible for New Product Development, undergo Product study, carryout Design
calculation, prepare 3D model for Drafting, Analysis & presentation purpose.
Prepare manufacturing drawings as per specific Standards. Product Benchmarking.
Design for Manufacturing & assembly. Bill of material preparation in SAP. ISO
documentation of the Department, to participate in special projects.

Organizational Importance:-
1. If above activities are not performed manufacturing activities are cease/ get
hampered.

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPEMENT


-Preparation of Proposal Drawings, Manufacturing Drawings, 3D modeling,
Structural Analysis(FEA), Design Calculations, Developing & Validating
Design Methodology, NPD process & documentation as per ISO
requirements, Design Verification & Validation
-Liaisoning & Interact with purchase, production, QA, CRED, Pattern
Management, Sales for new product development activities..
- Benchmarking of the products with competitors for design features, cost
to achieve NPD project Targets as per organization AOP & Projects added
during that Year (Against Order).
- Interface with CFT.
COST REDUCTION THROUGH VA/VE
Identifying the Projects for VA/VE, Verification of VA/VE projects,
Implementation of VA/VE to Achieve Target of Cost Reduction
Primary
PRODUCT CERTIFICATION, QMS & AUDITS
Preparation & maintaining Design & Development documents as per
QMS/EHS/EnMS/ISO/FM/UL/CE requirements, attending Audits &
Implementing Audit recommendations.
-Implementing & Maintaining Compliance to management initiatives,
Departmental procedures to achieve Organization Plan of Product
Certification, Maintaining QMS requirements.
STANDARDIZATION & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT
To take corrective & preventive actions.
-Standardization in design features of product Group to ensure Cost
Saving/Enhancing Product Performance/Cost Reduction to achieve
Organizational Targets of Cost Reduction & Value Addition.
IMPROVEMENT & INITIATIVE
02 Kaizen's per quarter, 5S Implementation, introducing innovative ideas
in Departmental Activities to achieve Organization Goals & Targets.
DEVELOPEMENT OF SUBORDINATE
-Knowledge Sharing with subordinates & others in department.
Secondary -Motivating subordinate to achieve departmental & organization Goals
- Work in a cross functional team to carry out various Improvement
Activities.
