Psychiatric social work is a specialized type of medical social work that involves supporting, providing
therapy to, and coordinating the care of individuals who are severely mentally ill and who require
hospitalization or other types of intensive psychiatric help. Psychiatric social workers are employed in a
wide range of settings, ranging from intensive inpatient wards to outpatient psychiatric clinics.

Job Description:
Conduct psychosocial assessment with the patient after admission into the Integrated Health
Home
Conduct family, group or individual psychotherapy as needed
Contribute to patient development and help them maintain stable functioning
Assist in the early detection of at risk clients
Assist in the development of plans to prevent worsening patients condition
Provide Psycho-educational Classes to promote education that either supplements or replaces
individual consultative treatment
Determine the urgency of patients need
Provide treatment to children, adolescents and adults
Render immediate cum appropriate guidance as well as therapy for members in need of
clinical services or in crisis

Multisystemic Therapist
MST Services is dedicated to helping communities, states and nations implement Multisystemic
Therapy to improve the lives of youth with anti-social behavior and the lives of their families. MST
provides any combination of the following services to the youth and family as needed:
Family therapy. Marital therapy. Individual youth counseling. Individual parent counseling.
Evaluation of the youths peer network and arranging alternative activities. Consultation
with schools. Coordination of activities with school systems, court, and/ or other social
services agencies, arranging psychiatric consultation.
MST specializes with youth within the Juvenile Justice System in the following areas:
Child Abuse and Neglect. Psychiatric. Substance Abuse. Problem Sexual Behavior
Truancy.
Provide Intensive in home Counseling Services to at youth ages 12-18 years of age with Behavioral,
Emotional and/or Psychological issues that may interfere within their home and/or social activities.
Identify the Strengths and Needs of the youth and family and Provide wraparound services for the
team. Develop an Individualized Service Plan for the family and youth. Provide weekly and monthly
notes on sessions.
Selected Accomplishments:
Provides 1 hour group sessions focusing on Anger control, Moral reasoning & Skill streaming
Provide face-to-face interventions to reduce undesirable behaviors and assist youth in building
appropriate behaviors and therapeutic relationships in the home and school setting. Document
session notation in cyber system. Participate in Child and Family Team Meetings. Strong
communication with in home counselor.

Provide assistance to clients to meet treatment plan goals. The BI provides service
according to the prescribed treatment plan. Treatment is time- limited and is geared to
facilitate children and their families to develop community- based supports to promote
