We Have a Covenant

We, the members of Calvary Baptist Church, called by Gods grace to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior,1
and having been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,2 enter into a covenant with each other
in God's presence as the body of Christ.3

We will strive, by the power of the Holy Spirit4 and the Bible as our authority in all matters of doctrine and
practice to do the following:5

glorify God by making disciples of all nations6

be faithful in meeting together and joyfully worshiping the Lord7
uphold Biblical doctrine and church discipline8
observe the church ordinances of believers baptism and the Lords Supper9
generously support the ministries of our church10
bring up our children and youth in the training and instruction of the Lord11
encourage one another to love and do good works12
pray for one another13
be loving and patient with one another, eager to maintain the unity produced by the Spirit14
share each others joys and bear each others burdens15
give and receive assistance and correction with humility and affection16
be slow to get angry and always eager for reconciliation, seeking it without delay17
be faithful, self-controlled and upright in our dealings and responsibilities in this world18

If we move from this area, we will as soon as possible unite with another local body of believers19 where we can
live out the principles of Gods word.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.20
