Five students were placed in internships and many more informational interviews were held. Academically, most students passed their final exams and improved their grades. The community was engaged through college visits, worksite tours, and a career fair. Goals for the next semester include more internship placements and continued community involvement.

    Semester 1 Achievements

    The internship program is nothing without its students and their supportive parents, Trillium Teachers and the Portland
    community. We want to thank you for your patience, flexibility, difficult conversations, and perseverance! Thank you to the
    businesses that have opened their doors to our students. Thank you to the mentors that work on a daily basis to hold our
    students accountable and through exposure, inspire our students to actualize the potential within them.

    Academics:
    Internships: 16 out of19 students passed their final exam
    Over 300 hours have been earned Five students brought took their letter
    Five students placed in an Internship/LTI grade C or below at midterm to an A or B at
    In the ndustries of Information Technology, semesters !
    Retail, Vetrinary Science, Gamming, Over 50 informational interviews held with
    Education, and Childcare an average of two presentaions per student
    given

    Community Connections:
    Three college visits + our second year Visited
    Goals for next semester
    over eight work sites, representing 25+
    Three students obtain an LTI experience on
    distinct careers
    campus
    2nd Annual Life After Trillium held with 7
    Visit four more college visits
    organizations tabling
    Attend eight additional worksite visits
    Three students workign on obtainign and
    100% of students pass internship
    internship at Trillium
    Celebrate our achievements come June
    attending the International College Fair
