Abstract: It is g reatly impor tant to carr y o ut the assessment of mar ine g eolog ical disasters, and in t he future, t his w or k
should be st rengthened in some ex tent. So me r esear chers defined disaster g rades by t he establishment o f assessment system,
theo ry of system engineer ing , and analytical hier archy pro cess. T hen, the r esult can be used fo r disast er reductio n and preven-
tion. A ssessment models are helpful to the abo ve w o rk. T he author ho lds that it is v ery impo rtant to ex ecute basic r esear ch for
marine geo log ical disasters, including g enesis mechanism, distr ibut ion, r ules o f development, facto rs causing disaster, damag e
deg ree, and pr event ive measures.
