Beautiful Notes and Problem Set

What did you grapple with?

I grappled especially with learning how to formulate piecewise functions for functions on a graph. It
was tricky to piece together how the inequality lines on the graph fit into an entirely different
formula. Even with the notes I took, I had a challenging time looking at the different parts of this
type of formula and what the purpose of having two columns and often three rows of expressions.
This was extremely difficult for me as something that I had never even seen nor dealt with before in
math and is something that I wasnt to continue to make progress on in the future. With that being
said, I feel like I did an awesome job of plugging in g(x) functions for f(x) functions and vice versa,
as this is something that I have had practice with in the past.

What habit of a mathematician did you use and why?

Throughout this exploration, I was able to use the habit of a mathematician Generalize. Just like
last week, a lot of this content was new for me and it helped for me to then make generalizations
about all of the content areas and not just struggle through them one after another. It helps for me
to make equations and images that connect and link one problem to another and while this was
difficult to be successful in at some points, I think this great math strategy worked for me most of
the time.
