1. Why did your country trade?

We was part of UK. We had initial funding of INR 400. As per the rule of the game we were
supposed to make maximum profit, to win the game. The only option to generate more profit
was to trade.
Trade were done mainly (i) generate cash inflow (ii) to trade with other countries like for
example we bought yellow pages from Nepal and white pages from USA. This resources
when utilized to make circles it generated more revenue for UK.
2. What were the reasons for your success or failure to maximize profit from the trading
activity?

We were the top team in this activity. We generated maximum profit of INR 1800. We started
with INR 400. We had profit percentage of 450%.
Our success were mainly due to:
(i)Optimum uses of labour and resources. As soon as we were accustomed with the rule we
allocated maximum of our members in using raw materials and resources to create circles.
Since time was an important constraint keeping that in mind maximum of our labour was
utilized to use our resources in hand to generate finished good which in return generated
revenue stream.
(ii) We had abundant resources. So we lend our machineries that is mainly scissor, scale, and
triangles to nations like Zimbabwe, India and China. Which generated us rental. Most
important strategy that we used were exchange of service from foreign countries since they
had limited money to pay rental. China India Zimbabwe not only paid us rental but also paid
us finished goods like circles and triangles.
(iii) We had negotiators, who tackled foreign countries so our core manufacturing was not
affected by direct foreign innervations. Which was important criteria to meet the time
constraint issue.

3. What would you do better if you play this game again?

We could have generated: A net profit of at least INR 4000 to INR 5400, from what we have
done INR 1800.
Reasons:

We actually had 1 extra scissor, only 1 compass and only 1 scale. Which could have been
used wisely.
Actually we should not had lend compass to China and India. Rather we could have lend them
the dice in shape of circle. We could have asked them that we will lend you dice (in shape of
circle) and tools and return they would have given us labour and raw material. Perfect trade
off. In return of 50% share of profit generation.

Trade with India was worse one. We lend them scissor for long period of time. Which actually
stopped our master deal with Nepal. They had abundant yellow page. Trade deal was made in
between UK and Nepal that we will lend them dice and scissor and they will share profit
margin from sale of each circles.

We would like to do better in these issues.
