1.7.4 Define staged construction

Step 44: Proceed to the Staged construction mode. The initial phase is the same as in the
previous case
Step 45: Double click on Phase_1 to open Phases windows.
Step 46: Key FootingLoad in ID box. Keep Plastic as Calculation Type and keep Staged
construction as Loading type. Close the Phases window
Step 47: In the staged construction mode, right click on the footing to active the load and the
plate
Step 48: In the Selection explorer assign 188 kN/m2 to the vertical component of line load.
Note that this gives a total load that is approximated equal to the footing force was obtained
from the first part of this tutorial. (188 kN/m2**(1.0m2) = 590 kN)
No change are required in the Flow condition tabsheet.
