    b. RinsesyringewithDCM23times(sprayoutontoaKimwipe)
    c. Rinsesyringewithyoursample23times
    2. Pull~1Lofsampleintothesyringe.Thenpullupto3uLofairaftersample

    INJECTIONOFSAMPLE
    TheFollowingstepsneedtobedoneinaSWIFTmotion.Goingtooslowlywillcauseearlyanderroneouspeaks
    toappear,makingthespectrumdifficultimpossibletointerpret.

    1. Checkcomputer...doesitsay ?Ifnot,gobacktopage1.

    2. PushneedleinallthewayintotheinjectorportBECAREFULNOTtobendorbreakthe
    needle!

    3. ClickStartbuttononthepaneloftheGCinstrument,andinjectsampleimmediately(by

    depressingtheplungercompletely).

    4. Pullneedleoutofinstrumentandrinseit5timeswithDCM
    3. Sampleisrunning youcanwatchprogressoncomputerscreen

    4. ClickStop(onleftpanelofcomputer) ,BUTONLYAFTER:

    a. Youseealloftheexpectedpeaks
    b. Waitanadditional30secondsafterallexpectedpeaksareseen

    5. Theprinterwillautomaticallyprintyourchromatogramalongwithdatatables

    a. Iftheprinterdoesnotprintautomatically,besuretheprinterissettoyourcomputer(asseen
    bythegreenlightabovetheprinter).Ifitisntpressnumlock,numlock
    b. DoNOThittheprintbutton!!(Hittingtheprinticonwillonlyprintuselessinformation)
    6. MakeyourowncopiesofthisforeachpersoninyourgroupAFTERlab

    7. Besureyoucleanup,andremovesamplesandglasswarefromGCarea.
