    Knit Bamboo Hat

    Everyone needs a warm hat in the winter and this classic is perfect for those cold windy
    days. For this pattern, you will need to know the knit stitch and purl stitch. Directions
    are for Adult / Child Sizes.

    Finished hat measures:


    Adult: 8.5 inches from top to rim and stretches to 23 inches in circumference
    Child: 7.5 inches from top to rim and stretches to 21.5 inches in circumference

    Photo shows:
    Adult: pattern worked with 2 strands of Worsted Weight Wool with 1 strand of
    Fingering Weight Wool held together throughout
    Child: pattern worked with 2 strands of Worsted Weight Wool held together throughout

    Materials:
    Size 10.5 US 16 inch Circular Knitting Needle
    Size 10.5 US set of Double Pointed Needles
    1 Double Pointed Needle or Cable Holder
    100 (x2) yards of Worsted Weight Wool to hold double throughout
    100 yards of Fingering Weight Wool (adult size only)
    Darning Needle
    Stitch Marker

    Guide:
    K = Knit
    P = Purl
    K2Tog = Knit 2 stitches together

    Using Circular Needles Cast on 66 stitches for both sizes. Connect to work in the
    round making sure not to twist stitches. Place marker.
    Pattern:

    Adult Child
    Rounds 1-3: (K2, P1) * rep to end Rounds 1-3: (K2, P1) * rep to end
    Round 4: P3, (K2, P4)* rep to last st, P1 Round 4: P3, (K2, P4)* rep to last st, P1

    Cut yarn leaving a 12 inch end. Using darning needle, slip yarn through remaining
    stitches and slip off knitting needles. Sew through stitches twice and pull taught.
    Weave in loose end. Make pompom or topper if desired.
