ZhiXing Project Proposal

1. Vision for the ZXP: To foster an intercultural pursuit of Tibetan

Buddhism by...
a. Cross Cultural Exchange (deep inmersion into the Tibetan
culture, lifestyle and mentality & Western exchange )
b. Religious pursuit (Tibetan Buddhism, one of the most ancient
form)
2. Alignment with the UWC values:
a. Researchs on different aspects of the Tibetans to reach the value
of International and Intercultural understanding.
b. Celebration of difference: comparison of the difference between
our own and the Tibetens culture.
c. It is everyones responsibility and also a mutual responsibility to
understand the interaction between ethnics and contribute to it
and that is what we want to do.
d. We devote to help improve the Tibetans life by studying the
condition of them in order to find possible solutions.
e. Challenge: Planning, conducting everything we never do before.
3. Potential ways that the ZXP will impact the community:
a. Presentations, movie nights will raise awareness about current
Tibetan conditions in UWC.
b. working with the local schools (cultural workshop) building a
library
c. create a website to
i. establish a long-term relationship
ii. establish a foundational website for future projects (which
stems from it).
d. their desire to know different cultures.
e. inspiration of the Tibetans to interact with us; cultural
performance (improving their social skills, creativity, leadership,
way to interact with foreigners)
4. Ways to achieve our goal:
a. raise money by promoting documentary (internet donations)
