As a (Title) in the facilities support area of (Government Agency) I

use specialist knowledge to advise and assist in the development of
policies and practices that contribute to strategic planning
processes. I play an active role in setting work area goals and
monitoring progress and contribution to knowledge creation and
sharing to support better management.

The policies and practices that I have advised and assisted with in
the last year include the X policy, the Y policy, and the reform of Z
practices. I have played a key role in these processes and lead the
creation and implementation phases. These policies and practices
compliment the (Government Agencys) strategic plan by improving
facility management transparency in the move to 100% corporate
outsourcing by 2016, as outlined in the plan.

My role includes the organisation of people, financial, property and

other resources and I use strong organisational skills to do this,
responding flexibly to changing requirements. Even though my work
area is under-staffed by 2 personnel I have come in on time and
under budget in all performance metrics over the past two years.
