The Church has announced that the Mutual theme for

2017 is If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,
that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it
shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing
wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea

According to a letter sent to local leaders August 1:

The purpose of the yearly theme is to provide
opportunities for youth worldwide to learn about, study,
internalize, and apply the principles taught in the
scripture. Youth are encouraged to memorize the
scripture, study its doctrine, and act on the principles
learned throughout the year.

In addition, the theme can be used to enrich Mutual
opening exercises, as a topic for sacrament meeting
talks given by youth, and to provide focus for youth
activitiesincluding camps, youth conferences, and
devotionals.
Resourcesincluding videos, music, and suggestions
for using the theme throughout the yearwill be
available to leaders at youth.lds.org and in Church
magazines at the end of 2016 and throughout 2017. An

Each Youth participant understands and commits to the
following:
1. I will be honest and continue to be honest in all
my behavior.
2. I will live the law of chastity.
3. I will not be alone with any member of the
opposite sex.
4. I will dress appropriately according to the
standard set up in the Strength of the Youth
booklet.
5. I will live the word of wisdom. This includes
abstinence of tea, coffee, alcohol, prohibited
drugs and addictive substance.
6. I will honor, support, obey and sustain the Ward
and Stake Leaders.
7. I will maintain a positive attitude that reflects the
gospel standards through my speech and actions.
8. I will respect the property and right of other.
9. I will act in a manner that will help strengthen my
testimony and the testimony of those around me.
10. I will comply with all the rules and regulation of
the District Youth Conference.
Involvement in any of the following will result in being
sent home immediately.
1. Participating in or encouraging immoral behavior
of any kind.
2. Theft, stealing, shoplifting of any kind.
3. Breaking the Word of Wisdom and Law of
Chastity.
4. Possessing deadly weapons or illegal substance of
any kind.
5. Doing anything harmful to yourself or others,
physically or spiritually.
6. Caught with gadget.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Strictly no gadgets allowed throughout the activity, for
emergency reasons contact the leaders.
2. All participants are required to wear the prescribe I.D. at all
times.
3. Each youth must attend the 1st day activity on April 12 at
______. If there are youth who will not be able to attend
they will be subject for closed-door discussion with the
Stake Presidency.
4. Each group must have a leader and assistant leader to
remind rules, time schedules and assignments.
5. All youth must attend the scheduled activities on time.
Nevertheless, late comers will take vitamins, Scripture
Reading during meal time and or preparation time provided
by the facilitator.
6. No youth are allowed to pair with the opposite sex in
isolated/secluded areas.
7. Clothing should be modest, clean, and neat. The leaders
should bring cloth, needle and thread, in case there are
PASAWAY. Leaders are assigned to repair/attach extension
on to the inappropriate dress/clothing. (Please approach the
YOUTH in a nice way for them not to be offended.)
8. YM/YW is not allowed to stay in the same room. Ask
security personnel before entering the other rooms.
9. Youth participants are not allowed to leave the area without
permission from their assigned leaders. Do not go to
prohibited areas.
10. No vandalism/loitering of any kind; no picking of flowers
and plants. Dont take home anything for souvenir that does
not belong to you.
11. No littering and dispose garbage properly.
12. Lights off at 10:00 oclock. No pillow fight, no star gazing,
no night swimming.
13. No sleeping or staying in the rooms during activity. Sick are
to be attended by the Medics in the clinic.
