Ground Rules

Welcome to medical faculty of Sebelas Maret University. Like the

other university in our university have several rules to obey. But the entire
rule is for your goodness. We hope you will enjoy your clerkship in here.

A. Hospital and University

1. Our university hospitals name is RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
2. As long as you have your clerkship program here you must
watch your attitude. Please greet your friend, your mentor,
especially your professor.
3. In order to get the certificate you have to do the clerkship for
4 weeks or minimal 4 weeks (20 days).
4. On your first day you must meet the head of department for
introduce yourself.
5. The work hours are Monday to Saturday started from 8am until
2pm (may vary depends on the department or the doctor).
Please dont be late.
6. You are not allowed to absent or not coming to hospital during
work hours for travelling somewhere or etc if you want still have
your certificate.If you want to travelling somewhere you can do it
after you finish your clerkship during a month here.You just
allowed not coming hospital if you get sick and dont forget to
ask permit to your mentor
7. Clothes :
Male
o You must wear shirt, trousers, and shoes.
o Dont forget to bring your white coat and your own
stethoscope.
o You cant wear jeans, short, sandals, and jacket.
Female
o Same as above you must wear shirt, trousers or
knee-length skirt or longer and shoes, but for female
its allowed to wear shoe-sandals.
o Dont forget to bring your white coat and your own
stethoscope.
o You cant wear jeans, short, sandals, and jacket.
8. It is forbidden to smoke in hospital and campus.
9. You must bring your id card (we prefer student card or you can
bring another id card) wherever you go. Dont forget to bring
your health insurance.
 10. In the hospital you should be active because you will be the
same as another co-ass so if you want to meet a lot of patient
you must go by yourself.
11. If you want to go to another department, you must ask
permission to the doctor in charge or you friend.
12. You must bring your curriculum book and your score transcript
from your university.

13. On your last two day in hospital you must meet the head of
department to ask his/her signature for your certificate. Usually
he/she will ask you about your clerkship so prepare yourself.
14. You must fill in our evaluation form (you can collect them on
your last day).
15. Please join our mailing list in yahoo group at scope-surakarta.

B. House Family or Student Hostel

1. As long as you have your clerkship program here you must watch
your attitude.
2. House family or your friend in student hostel does not have any
responsibility for you. Usually they are not the IFMSA member
so we as the IFMSA committee take full responsible for
you.
3. You cant take anything from the house except you ask for the
permission first. If you want to use the internet line, you must
pay the bill by yourself or at the first time you can give the
deposit money for the bill.
4. It is all right if your house family takes you somewhere as long as
it is not bother our schedule.

C. Social Program
1. We have arranged two schedules (at the weekend) for our social
program. Its containing three kind of social program: Nature
Tour, Culture Tour, and Cuisine Tour but it depends on the
situation. You can join our schedule but its okay if you dont want
to join us.
2. For the social program you have to buy the tickets, and the other
you need by yourself. We can only prepare the transportation and
it is free for you.
3. Social programs route :
 Tawang Mangu Tour Kemuning (tea garden), Sukuh and
Ceto temple (they are the reproduction temple), and Jurug
waterfall.
Yogyakarta Tour Borobudur temple (one of the wonder in
the world), Prambanan temple, Malioboro (shopping street),

It is all about our rule in University of Sebelas Maret. We hope you

can understand it and obey it. If you have any problem or question
