About Content Filtering Client 3.0.6

The Dell SonicWALL Content Filtering Client 3.0.6 release provides several new features and resolves some
issues from previous releases. This is the first release of Dell SonicWALL Content Filtering Client with support
for Mac OS. See the New Features and Resolved Issues sections.
Content Filtering Client is now a single application, reducing the complexity of supporting different plug-in
services. It has a single installer file for each operating system, named CFC.msi for Windows clients, and
CFCSetup_3.0.63.pkg for Mac OS clients.
Dell SonicWALL Content Filtering Client service provides protection and productivity policy enforcement for
businesses, schools, libraries, and government agencies. Policies are configured by the administrator and then
applied to clients based on user and group membership. The service blocks objectionable and unproductive
web content even when the client machine is outside the firewall perimeter. Client machines automatically
receive the latest software updates for filtering web content.
The administrator uses the Content Filtering Client Policy & Reporting Admin Tool (EPRS), a cloud-based
platform to administer client policies and client groups. EPRS can be accessed from MySonicWALL, or from
SonicOS on the appliance if the CF Client is licensed on that appliance.
