Welcome To the Nashville Photography Club

We welcome you to the Nashville Photography Club and look forward to

meeting you at the next meeting!
Purpose: Educate, inform, and provide a forum for photographers of all levels to join together
for the common purpose of sharing their passion for photography.

Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month @ 6:30 pm at Durys, 1027 Murfreesboro Pike,
Nashville, TN 37203 (Crescent Plaza)

Members begin arriving at 6:00 pm for social time. The meeting is over by 9 pm. Parking for the
meeting is beside and in front of the building on a first come, first serve basis. Parking is also
available across the street. Please leave designated handicapped spaces open for persons with
handicap tags.

Monthly meeting topics by invited speakers vary from month to month. Some other features of
the meeting include the photo of the month contest, member minute, member spotlight, and
discussion of other activities. There is an annual club Picnic and an annual club Christmas
Party.

A monthly NPC Club Newsletter is published by Tom Ventress. The newsletter is emailed to
members, who provide their email addresses, or can be viewed on the website.

Each month there is a themed photo contest in which you can display your work in a contest
with other members. The themes for each month are displayed at each monthly meeting and
are posted on the NPC website. The photo can be 4x6 up to 8.5x12 and must have been taken
during the three months prior to the contest. Participants must be current club members. A
Durys Gift Card is awarded to the monthly winner.

The club has photographic exhibits at various places around Nashville where you can display
your work along with other club members. Wayne Wilkerson is our Exhibit Coordinator.

All members have name tags that are color-coded. Red name tags represent club officers,
board members, and focus group leaders. Green name tags represent volunteers, Blue name
tags are for past NPC Presidents, and White name tags for club members.

The club offers several types of educational opportunities to members throughout the year,
including, but not limited to:

Basic Photography Course

12 to 14 weeks and covers cameras, lens, flash, photographic concepts, and learning
opportunities assigned and critiqued by the instructors, Bill Kotas, Joe Frazier, Jim Bruner,
Roger Pruitt & Rod Shean

Digital Focus Group

Meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at Fifty Forward Madison. Focus is on digital work flow
especially Lightroom and Photoshop (led by Steve Choate).

The club has several other types of focus groups that provide club members an opportunity to
meet and participate in activities designed for photographic opportunities:
