Jane,
Thanks for your Happy-Birthday email! Ive got fantastic news! I dont think we can meet this summer, you know. Im
off to Italy with my parents! Im so excited! They gave me the surprise yesterday on my birthday!
I wanted to go in October for the film festival, but my parents cant leave work at that time. Accommodation is not a
problem because we can stay with my dads aunt and uncle in Rome. Theyve got a big house in the countryside. I dont
know them, but my dad tells us they are very nice people. And he is very excited about the visit too the last time they
met was when Dad was twelve! They chat online now and theyve got Skype, but its not the same when you get
together.
Dad says Romes really beautiful! Ill send you lots of pictures! I hope the weather is nice!
What are your plans this summer? Please, write soon!
Love,
Ellie.
