Types of Assessment in CLIL

CLIL teachers use two types of assessment:

Formative or Assessment FOR Learning, which is continuous and helps


us identify how well learners are progressing according to the learning
outcomes set at the beginning of the session or set of sessions.

Summative or Assessment OF Learning, whose purpose is to know what


learners have achieved at the end of a session or a set of sessions.

Can do statements are usually used to describe assessment criteria for both
formative and summative assessment.
