Post-lesson Evaluation of the lesson: Students enjoyed the games and learned that they must use
teamwork to win. They spoke about how they couldnt give up, even when the challenge seemed
difficult. This lesson was an engaging culminating activity for our unit.

Basic Game Rules: (modify as needed for your class)

Go Fish: Each team has a fish cut out of tissue paper and a paper plate. The fish is laid on the ground
and each player must try to fan the fish to the other side of the room and get it across the finish line.
When fish has cleared the finish, they must pick up the fish and bring items back to the next person
in line. Team to have all students get their fish across and sit back down in a nice line wins.

Bean There Done That: Put about 10-12 beans on a plate for each team, and place a plastic cup a few
meters away from the plate of beans. Players must use only their straw to hold the bean while they
try to get it from the plate into the cup. If a player drops their bean on the way, they must return to
the end of the line. The first team to get 6 (or any number decided for play) beans in the cup wins.

Noodling Around: Each student has a piece of uncooked spaghetti. Using only the noodle in your
mouth, students try to pick up as many penne noodles as they can. Set the penne noodles around the
perimeter of the table. If game is too difficult, break the spaghetti sticks to make them shorter and
easier.
