The sequence of nucleotides in DNA directs the formation of mRNA.
The amino acid produced is based from the sequences of tRNA which is
then directed by the sequence of mRNA.

The relationship among DNA sequence, protein and traits or characteristics
will be further explained using the following illustration:
ASSIGNMENT
1. Cut out the DNA and RNA components on the pattern provided to you. For the DNA components, use
the following color code: phosphate = blue, deoxyribose sugar= green, ribose sugar = brown and
nitrogenous bases as follows: adenine = yellow, thymine = pink, guanine = violet and cytosine = red and
uracil = orange. For the RNA components, use the following color code: phosphate = blue, ribose sugar =
brown and nitrogenous bases as follows: adenine = yellow, uracil = orange, guanine = violet and cytosine
= red.
2. Bring these cut-outs, scissors, and tape tomorrow.
