They also organise exams for recruitment for various positions in Regional Rural Banks. The exams do not follow a fixed schedule, but are conducted as per the demand for recruitment in the participating banks. The IBPS test features questions from Reasoning, English language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with reference to banking industry) and Computer Knowledge. > IBPS Bank PO / MT U Bank Probationary Officer ‘A Probationary Officer post is the point of entry to the coveted managerial positions in the banking industry. Some of the important points to consider for the Descriptive Test in the SBI Mains PO/MT are as follows: + The Descriptive Test will be of 30 minutes duration comprising 50 marks. + The test will be of English Language (Letter Writing and Essay). * Candidates have to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the bank. * Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test. * This test will judge the writing skills of the candidates Stage 3: Group Discussion & Personal Interview Candidates who clear the cutoff score for the Main Examination are called for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview, where the candidates will have to face an interview board. ‘The GD carries 20 marks and the PI carries 30 marks. The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and the Descriptive Test are arranged in descending order in each category. The reason for the CGL exam to be highly competitive is that every year, 15-20 lakh students appear for this exam. The major attraction is that this exam can help in getting into Central Government jobs that offer high salaries and perks along with security and status, SSC CGL Selection Proces From 2016, the SSC-CGL will be conducted in three stages — Tier, TierlI and Tierlll exams. If applicable, a Tier-V exam is also conducted. There will be no Personal interview process, although it used to be there earlier. Tier and Tier-Il exam will be Objective Type with multiple options and will be conducted online (computer based). The Tier exam will be held in the offine/written mode. The final merit is prepared based on the candidates’ overall performance in the Tier, Tier-ll and Tier examinations. However, candidates will need to qualiy in all the tiers ie. Tie, Tier-Il and Tier separately.
