Adopt an Element Project

Science Kaleidoscope
Complete an Adopt an Element information sheet. The sheet will be used to gather
information for the rest of your project. You may use a variety of reference sources.
All information should not come from the internet. Please stay away from Wikipedia
for your information. Information sheets must be neat, written in black ink, and
contain all the information requested. You also need to provide a list of your sources
on the back of your information sheet. A minimum of three sources are required,
with at least one source being from something other than the internet.

Part I: The following is a rubric for your element research project. It is a list of the
items needed for your project and how many points each item is worth. Please refer
to it often when completing your project. The method by which you will relay the
information required will vary according to your presentation choice. No

the exact URL for internet sources and cite correctly. Please view the example attached to
the packet.

Part II: Time for your creative minds to soar. Your teacher will provide you with a
ceramic tile. You will have to use your artistic talents to create your element as
seen on the periodic table. It is very important that you finish your part; otherwise I
will be missing your element from the periodic table. Please look below to see the
rubric.
