Inspection of the materials on a spot witness/random or
sampling basis (can be carried out while in production and
at completion of manufacturing) as detailed in the order
assignment instructions and/or as specified in the relevant
purchase order, specifications and approved ITP. PIM is
recommended to establish expectations.

Final inspection
Inspection of materials or equipment in final manufactured
condition to verify critical dimensions, workmanship and
material/test certifications. The minimum scope of final
inspection should include the witness of specified tests and
