Reflection: A bit of a problem when it comes to talking about ways to accomplish resolutions. Pupils rely on written scripts rather than genuinely
asking and responding to questions. It no longer was a speaking exercise, but had turned into a reading exercise. One of the factors identified
was their lack of confidence. There are still room for improvement.

Reflection: Pupils were able to grasp the concept of similes, but were quite unable to come up with their own. Attempts made were repetitious
and meaningless, in that it didnt reflect or support the adjective being described. More practice is needed to ensure understanding.

Reflection: There was simply not enough time in the time frame to move further into higher levels. This may be because I was taken ill for a few
days and was unable to attend classes. Pupils were also sequestered quite a lot during the early weeks to attend other activities. A revisit is in
order because it is unfair to leave them at their current level, especially when they show promise.

Date of completion: 19/01/2017

Reflection: Pupils are well-versed in common and proper nouns to the point of being able to guide peers with explanations and
examples. The same goes with indefinite articles. Some confusion did arise when discussing indefinite articles, while we were
discussing vowels and consonants. Pupils tend to classify vowels based solely on spelling, which resulted in mistakes.
Action-Oriented Task(s) Duration: 3 hours
(These action-oriented tasks ensure that all the four language skills and the Grammar elements
taught are integrated to emulate real-life situations. These tasks and experiences will be the bridging that helps pupils to overcome
challenges in real life which require them to communicate in English.)

Reflection: Pupils simply were not ready to take the helm and manage their own learning. Although they were given independence and
freedom to complete tasks, some sort of control must be exerted in the form of guidelines, counselling and making decisions. Left to
their own devices, pupils tend to bicker and shift responsibility to others. Grouping arrangements must be looked into to ensure that they
will be able to co-operate comfortably.
Literature in Action Duration: 3 hour
Engage and respond to a variety of literary texts to express understanding of the broader world of
5.1
ideas and concepts.

them to real life situations.
