Background Info

Eggs are commonly brood for hatching but for Peking ducks, they dont
undergo through this process. The mother duck immediately leaves her eggs
right after laying them. The eggs are somehow wasted because they wont
be able to undergo brooding process. Another flaw is that the Peking duck
eggs that were laid are being brood by a hen. This is really inappropriate and
it will result to more wastage of Peking duck eggs because a chicken cannot
sustain many eggs at a time for brooding.
Common incubators are very huge and heavy on its size and
shape. Peking duck egg raisers are having a hard time transferring such
incubators to a certain poultry whenever needed. Most incubators lack useful
features that would help on the hatching process and these are: poor quality
incubator, incorrect incubator settings, problems with actual temperature
and humidity in the incubator, poor incubator hygiene, and incubator
location.

Proposed System
This proposal aims to design an advance incubation system intended
for Peking duck eggs. The incubator consists of thermostat for monitoring
temperature, tilting mechanism for even heating of the eggs, humidifier for
reducing excessive heat required for the heating process, two bulbs, one is
used for standby heating and the other one is used for backup. For the
portability, we intend to use car battery which is readily available to rural
areas.
