The story of Sugidanon Bayluhay revolves between two

different tribes the Aninity or Aetas and the tribe from Borneo.
The setting of the play is in the Pre-colonial period of the
Philippines. The story began on the Aninity tribe which has been
passed on to their new leader Marikudo. Marikudos story
portrays how he became the king and how he managed to marry
her queen Mariwantiwan despite of the obstacles which
Maragmak a so called witch of their tribe tried to prevent their
marriage the two still ended up together. In the other tribe in
Borneo a tyrant and merciless leader rules above them all, which
Datu Puti tried to oust with all his might but ended up fleeing
along with his accomplices here in the Philippines. Upon arriving
in the Philippines Datu Puti asked Marikudo if they can settle
in the plains of the aninity tribe which Marikudo granted in an
exchange of a golden salakot and pearl necklace which concluded
the story.
