Learning priority: increasing ability to use logic and abstract thinking

Welcome back, Maryam. It is good to have you back after a long holiday. I hope you had a nice holiday.
This year we have moved to our new building just across the old one. Children are enjoying exploring
their new facilities and new spaces. I hope you will settle in well in this new environment.

One day, Teacher Heather was doing a poster of all

the children in Annur Childcare. She called Maryam
to help her with it. Masha Allah, Maryam was able
to recognise everyone in the poster. Teacher
Heather printed all of their names in one A4 page
and cut them one by one. She asked Maryam to
find her name. In just a few second, she managed
to her name. M-A-R-Y-A-M. Maryam. Thats my
name!, she said excitedly. Then, Teacher Heather
asked her to find her friends names and try to
match them with their pictures. Masha Allah I was
amaze that Maryam was able to recognise the
alphabets especially the first letter of her friends
name.

Whats next for Maryam?

Insya Allah we will practice to write Arabic

alphabets. I know that she can recognise most of
them. We will try and write our names in Arabic
next. Insya Allah soon Maryam can recognise her
name and her friends names in Arabic.
