TASK 1 - Your PowerPoint Presentation identifies and describes the main types components required for a DJ set-up. A
selection of brand options shown and features of each described. Grading criteria for P1 met.

TASK 2 In your document you have identified and described the job roles of three different types of DJs. It is unusual for
you not to have a reference list attached to your work. Grading criteria for P3 met.

TASK 3 - Your set-up demonstration showed that you can manage to safely set-up and operate the DJ equipment
confidently. You were able to demonstrate a good range of features and DJ performance techniques (looping, effects, cuing,
scratching and crossfading) available in this particular brand of midi controller. Grading criteria for M2 met.

TASK 4 Your DJ Performance demonstration video shows that you can perform a DJ set well-suited to your student
audience and selected theme (Soca Dance Party). The pitch control, effects, looping, scratching, cuing and crossfading
techniques were successfully utilized for most of the set. Your set list (prepared crate in Serato) showed evidence of forward
planning and you communicated with your audience using callouts, eye-contact and movement. Grading criteria for D4
met.
