INTRODUCTION

Flipkart is an e-commerce marketplace company founded in 2007 by Sachin

Bansal and Binny Bansal. The company is registered in Singapore, but has its
headquarters in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Flipkart has launched its own product range
under the name "DigiFlip" with products including tablets, USBs, and laptop bags.

IDBI Bank is an Indian government-owned financial service company, formerly known as

Industrial Development Bank of India, headquartered in Mumbai, India. It was
established in 1964 by an Act of Parliament to provide credit and other financial facilities
for the development of the fledgling Indian industry.

Salgaocar Construction Company Llp is a Limited Liability Partnership firm incorporated

on 04 January 2013. It is registered at Registrar of Companies, Goa. Its total obligation of
contribution is Rs. 1,000,000. Designated Partners of Salgaocar Construction Company
Llp are Ranjana Shivanand Salgaocar and Shivanand Vassudev Salgaocar.

Culture Brandz Private Limited is a Private incorporated on 04 July 2008. It is classified

as Non-govt company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. Its
authorized share capital is Rs. 10,000,000 and its paid up capital is Rs. 200,000.It is
inolved in Business activities n.e.c.

Tata Steel Limited (formerly Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited (TISCO)) is an
Indian multinational steel-making company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra,
India, and a subsidiary of the Tata Group. It was the 11th largest steel producing company
in the world in 2013, with an annual crude steel capacity of 25.3 million tonnes, and the
second largest steel company in India (measured by domestic production) with an annual
capacity of 9.7 million tonnes after SAIL.
They are categorised based on the following parameters:

1- INCORPORATION:

All of the five companies taken into consideration are Registered at different places
with the concerned bodies and authorities.
Flipkart is registered in Singapore .
IDBI Bank , TATA STEEL and Culture Brandz Private Limited are with C
Salgaocar Construction Company is registered at the Registrar of Companies,
Goa.

2- LIABILITY:

Out of the five companies although only Salgaocar Constructions is registered as an

Limited Liability Partnership firm none of the other four companies have Unlimited
liabilities as all of them except Flipkart are limited by shares.
While TATA Steel and IDBI are both Public companies limited by shares, Culture
Brandz is Private.

3- CONTROL

Flipkart,Salgaocar Constructions and Culture Brandz are Holding companies of each

of the companies respectively.
TATA Steel is a Subsidiary of the TATA Group of Companies.
IDBI Bank is an Indian Government-Owned financial service company.

4- OWNERSHIP

All companies other than IDBI Bank are Non-Government companies.

IDBI Bank is an Indian Government-Owned financial service company.

5- FOREIGN COMPANY

All four companies other than Flipkart are Indian companies.

Although Flipkart and all its operations are completely based in India, it is considered
as a Foreign Company as it is registered in Singapore.

6- BANKING COMPANY

The only company amongst the five companies being considered here that is present
in the Banking sector is IDBI Bank.
It is an Indian Government-Owned financial service company.
7- SMALL COMPANIES

Out of the five companies mentioned here ,Salgaoacar Constructions and Culture
Brandz Private Ltd are both Small companies as they have a Paid up Capital of Rs 10
Lakhs and 2 Lakhs respectively.

8- LISTED COMPANIES

Flipkart,Salgaocar Constructions and Culture Brandz are not listed on any of the
registered Stock Exchanges as they are Private companies.

TATA Steel and IDBI Bank are both Public Companies listed on the BSE and the
NSE.

9- ONE PERSON COMPANY

None of the aforementioned companies are One Person Companies.

10- DORMANCY

None of the companies considered here are Dormant as the current status of all of
them are- Active except Salgaocar Constructions as the companys current status is
Converted to LLP and Dissolved.

11- ILLEGAL OR UNLAWFUL ASSOCIATION

None of the aforementioned companies are involved in any forms of Illegal or

unlawful associations.
