A Note from Mr. Field:

Dear Parents,

This unseasonably warm weather has everyone thinking spring! Before we jump fully into actual spring time,
we have the exciting month of March. Each year this month is dedicated as March is Reading Month. To
celebrate this special time of year, our staff has created a month- long schedule of daily activities for students to
engage in that are focused on reading. On the attached calendar you will find that Fridays activities are
highlighted in yellow and involve fun dress-up opportunities. Youll also find that weve included creative home
reading opportunities for the weekend as well.
Here are the activities that are coming up in the next two weeks...

Happy Reading!

Park M-STEP Testing Schedule

Here is our annual state testing schedule for the M-STEP this spring. Please make every effort to ensure that your student is at
school on these dates by avoiding scheduling doctors appointments and vacations on the following dates:
5th Grade - April 11,12,3 18, 19,20 3rd Grade - May 2-5 4th Grade - May 9,10, 11, 16, 18
Thank you for your partnership with us! This can often be a time where students' anxieties are risen and because of this our staff
is intentionally keeping this testing time "low-key" and we are continually sharing with students that we are proud of them for
putting forth their best personal effort each day. Please pass along our praise to our 3rd-5th grade students!

NEW BUS POLICY: Due to safety and legal reasons students will not be able to bring anything that is not tied down
or held in the lap on the bus. Examples could be extra sports equipment, skateboards, lacrosse sticks etc.. The bus
driver will ask that the items are to be left behind and will not wait for students to bring them back to their homes.
Please do not allow your child to bring any of these type items on the bus or to the bus stop.
Thank you, The Transportation Department
