Get Their Attention! (5 minutes)

Materials: Spinner

INTRODUCE yourself & the kids by saying:

Hey everyone! Im so glad youre here for our last day of Spin It to Win It!

Lets learn a little bit more about each other. Were going to take turns spinning
the spinner. When the spinner points to you, tell everyone your name and one
person you want to be like! (Ex: superhero, famous athlete, parent, etc.)

Need to Know:
INTRODUCE kids to what we are learning today:

(point to self) One person we can all be more like is Jesus! Today, were going to talk about
ways we can do that!

Spinner READ pages 314-319 in Gods Story for Me Bible.

Simon Says Sheet 1. Was the woman at the well perfect or had she messed up? (She had
Coloring Sheets messed up)

Crayons 2. How did Jesus treat the woman even though He knew she had messed
up: did He yell at her or He was kind and loving to her? (He was kind and
Memory Verse loving to her)

Filler Guide 3. How can we be like Jesus from this story? (Be kind and loving to
everyone, no matter who they are or what theyve done)

When we come to church, read our Bibles, and learn more about Jesus, we
can learn how to be like Him!

ASK kids to close their eyes & bow their heads. Model prayer for kids by PRAYING:

Jesus, thank you for giving us the Bible and a fun church where we can learn
how to be like you. Help us to love others the way you do! We love you.

Application Activity Application Activity (5 min)

Summary:
Kids will play Simon

will answer questions

remember how they
can be like Jesus!
Materials: Simon Says Sheet
1. Allow kids to stand.
2. Read the Simon Says Sheet to the kids. When you say Simon Says, the kids
should do the motion you say. If you do NOT say Simon Says and the kids
do the motion, they are out and can sit down.
3. Allow any kids who are out to help you watch the rest of the group to see if
anyone does the wrong motion.

4. Play until there is only one person remaining or all the motions have been
used.

5. ASK the following questions to review some motions from the game.

When you touched your neighbors shoulder, does that remind us to

LOVE our neighbors or SHOVE our neighbors? (Love our neighbors)
When we love our neighbors, we are being like Jesus!
Do you think touching your ears could remind you to listen to others?
(Yes) We can be like Jesus by listening to others!
Just like you sang your favorite song, do you think Jesus sang praises to
God? (Yes) We can be like Jesus by singing praises to God at home, in
the car, and at church!
If we are trying to be like Jesus, how should we treat others? Ill give
you a hint. Think about when you gave someone a high five! (Be kind,
let them go first, help them, show love with our actions and words)
