AIMES & TECHNOTRONICS CLUB INAUGURATION

Association of Integrated Mechanical Engineering Students (AIMES) for the academic year
2016-17 was inaugurated on 23rd September 2016. Mr. V N Ravichandra Rao, General Manager
of Canara Springs was the chief guest of the function. Mr. Mohammed Sadiq, Director, Tech-
Graylogics and Mr. Vishal Rao, Director, Kinetric Hobbies were the guests of honor.

Students displayed the models created by them for Technocraft event.

The Inaugural function started by invoking Gods blessing and the auspicious lamp lighting
ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Prajwal Kunder. Mr Niketh Shetty,
President of AIMES briefed about the associations past and future activities planned. Ms.
Shreelakhmi, Vice President of AIMES introduced the guests to the gathering.

Mr. V N Ravichandra Rao spoke about the scope of engineering students in the present industry.
And Mr. Mohammed Sadiq spoke on the Applications of Mechatronics and Robotics in a
mechanical industry. Dr. Shreeprakash B, Principal, Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Vice Principal and
Dr. Suma Bhat, Head of the Department presided over the function. A customized momento was
crafted by the members of the AIMES to present it to the guests. The momento was presented by
a Momentobot (Robot). Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Chinmaya.

Mr. Canute Sherwin, Mr. Vishwas Shetty, Staff Coordinators of AIMES and staff members of
Mechanical Engineering Department were present during the function.

A Technical talk was organized by AIMES on RC planes and Quadcopters. Mr. Vishal Director,
Kinetric Hobbies delivered the talk. A demo on RC planes and Quadcopters followed the talk.
