Power Regeneration: How To Save Power.

Power regeneration is the function of returning energy to the power supply.
For example, when a crane lifts a load, the motor requires energy.
However, when the crane lowers the load, the weight of the load turns the motor, generating energy.
Traditionally, the generated energy was consumed as heat by the braking resistance, but this energy
can be returned to the power supply and reused to save energy.
