Part 2 conversation:

VICKI: Hey Matt. Why dont you put another CD on so we can dance a bit more?
MATT: OK. Ive just bought a new party CD. Ill put that on now!
VICKI: mmmm this party food is delicious. But did you get enough food in for all of
your guests?
MATT: Oh yes, I went shopping yesterday and bought lots of food for the party. Eat
up! Theres plenty more.
VICKI: Thanks! Its great - Ill have no problem eating this food up its lovely!
MATT: And if you drink up, Ill go and make you another cocktail!
VICKI: Youre a great host Matt. Hang on then and Ill finish it.

Part 2 examples:

1. to put on. Im having a quiet night at home tonight - Im going to put on a


DVD on and watch a film.
2. to get something in. My little niece and nephew are coming round tomorrow,
so Im getting in lots of crisps and sweets to keep them happy!
3. to eat up. Now you can have some ice-cream, but only if you eat up your pasta
first.
3. to drink up. Well have to drink up - the bars closing in a minute.
