Bobby Moore is an Atlanta-based music journalist and


college student whose articles about roots and country music have been
published by She Shreds, No Depression, Creative Loafing (Atlanta), and
Stomp and Stammer. Past education experience has sharpened his research
and writing skills, often through music-centered projects. These include an
M.A. thesis on the history of punk rock in Atlanta, 1978-2011. Hes
currently finishing a second Masters degree (Ed. S.) and plans to parlay his
knowledge of digital learning environments into a career in country and
roots music preservation.

project, Center for Public History, Carrollton, Georgia, and the Georgia
Humanities Council, Fall 2010-Summer 2011.
Researched statewide music traditions to help localize a travelling
Smithsonian exhibit about American roots music.
Compiled a comprehensive Georgia roots music bibliography and
discography and a list of venues and festivals that feature roots music
performers.
Completed field work at the Atlanta Greek Festival and assisted with
documentation at Sacred Harp and African American note-singing
events.
Worked closely with the twelve small communities that hosted the
exhibit in 2012-2013.
Supervised an undergraduate student assigned to the project.

Intern for the Georgia New Harmonies project, Center for Public
