Present the ball.

Pupils: pairs
Kit: Rugby balls
Organise pupils into pairs.
Demonstrate the two ways to present a ball.
o Jack knife
o Long arm.
One pupil is the coach and the other is the ball carrier and will use
the task card to guide them.
The coach will shout either jack knife, or log arm and the ball carrier
will get into that position.
The coach will them give them feedback on their body position
based on the task card.
Pupils swap over.
Organise pupils into a large circle, running on their toes or running
in an area.
Teacher shouts, jack knife or long arm, and the pupils must perform
this.
If they are the last one down or get it wrong they then help catch
others doing the wrong action.
Progressions:

Introduce the ball carrier being tackled and then presenting the ball.
Set up a cones as Progression 1, and have them try to present the
ball like in Video 2.
Regression:
Slow the pace down
Pair up with lead learners or high ability pupils to give feedback.
Use the task card.
