1.0 Shoes Billing Management System

1.1 Defination

The objective of Shoe Store Billing Management System is to provide a system which takes care of
the storage record of the shoe in a shop, its selling activity and manages the billing system. The users will
consume less time to take care of the records like goods entered, sold etc. The database stores each and
every record. The system is user friendly and the user will find it easy to use the system.

1.2 Scope:
This system is very helpful in calculating the bill without any miscalculation and storing each and every
record so that reports can be viewed anytime.

1.3 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:


The software to be produced is on Shoe store Billing Management System. The first activity is based
on adding the items to the system which were bought from a vendor and which are present at shop. Only
Admin has the authority to add the details. He also has the right to modify or delete the details from the
list. Next when a customer arrives and chooses a shoe directly, a bill has to be generated for him.A
unique order no is generated for each customer. The user types the first letter of name of the shoe.

As soon as this the system provides all the names of the shoe starting with that letter. The user can
select the shoe name which the customer bought and can generate a bill. This information will be saved
in the database. The customer is supposed to produce the bill if he wants to exchange the shoe he
purchased. When the user enters the bill no, all the information will be displayed. The user can produce a
new bill for him.

Admin has the authority to provide unique username and password for the user through which they can
login. He also has the right to delete or modify the information. The periodic reports can be generated.

2.0 Modules:

1.1 Employee: When a new employee joins the company, his record is saved in the
database.

1.2 Shoe:The first activity is based on adding the items to the system which were
bought from a vendor and which are present at shop. Only Admin has the authority to add the
details. He also has the right to modify or delete the details from the list.

1.3 Registration: As soon as the employee joins the company, the admin provides
unique username and password to him.

1.4 AdhocSales: When a customer arrives and chooses a shoe directly, a bill has to
be generated for him.

1.5 Billing:A unique order no is generated for each customer. The user types the first
letter of name of the shoe. As soon as this the system provides all the names of the shoe starting
with that letter. The user can select the shoe name which the customer bought and can generate a
bill. This information will be saved in the database.

1.6 Exchange: The customer is supposed to produce the bill if he wants to exchange
the shoe he purchased. When the user enters the bill no, all the information will be displayed. The
user can produce a new bill for him.

1.7 Indent Report: Here data will be available to know about the shoe sold by the
customer in a day/month/year and this report can be used for future verification purpose.

1.8 Display: A user can view information regarding products.

1.9 Logout: This module allows the user to Logoutthe application. Further operations cannot be
performed after user exits

5.0 CONCLUSION:
Shoe Store Billing Management System software developed for a company has been designed to
achieve maximum efficiency and reduce the time taken to handle the shoe sale activity. It is designed for

reducing time taken for calculations and for storing data. The system uses Visual Basic as front end and
Microsoft SQL as a backend for the database.
The system is strong enough to withstand regressive daily operations under conditions where the
database is maintained and cleared over a certain time of span. The implementation of the system in the
organization will considerably reduce time and also provide readily calculated reports.
