Chicagoans Welcome Annual Lollapalooza Music Festival

WHAT: Grant Park, one of Chicagos largest parks will be holding a three-day
music festival featuring a range of musicians. There will be eight
stages set up throughout Grant Park, which allows for the maximum
amount of musical performances at one time. Some of these musicians
include, Paul McCartney, Sam Smith, and James Bay.


WHO: More than 130 music groups and artists are scheduled to perform
each day at the festival. The performances range from
well-known names to new musicians. Some of these musicians
include, Paul McCartney, Sam Smith, and James Bay.

WHERE: Grant Park

WHEN: July 31 August 2, 2015
The first day of Lollapalooza will be July 31, 2015 and the
festival will end August 2, 2015.
The festival will go from 11:30AM to 10:00PM all three days.

WHY: Lollapalooza is a celebration of summer that for many years has
brought the people of Chicago together. Any person that chooses to
attend the Lollapalooza Music Festival will make listening to

Paul McCartney: The Cute Beatle

Paul McCartney is an English singer-songwriter who was formally known as a

member of the famous British group The Beatles.
Paul McCartney was born on June 18, 1942. McCartney met a fellow band
member John Lennon of when he was just 15 in July of 1957. McCartney got started
playing with Lennons band at the time, The Quarrymen. From there, McCartney and
Lennon as well as two other musicians formed the band known as The Beatles.
McCartney was the bass player in The Beatles. McCartney was known as the cute
Beatle by the press.
After The Beatles split in 1970, Paul McCartney continued to play music. He
formed a band Wings in 1971, the band put out a couple albums together until
disbanding in 1981.
McCartney is still performing today, and one of his biggest more recent
performances was in July 2011, he played two sold-out shows in the Yankee
Stadium. As well selling out Yankee Stadium, he has played at other high profile
venues such as Coachella, Cowboy Stadium and the United Center. Today, he is still
performing and selling out shows. McCartneys next big venue is performing in
Grant Park at the Chicago Lollapalooza Music Festival.
