PSYCHOLOGY TEST - SELF ACCEPTANCE

INTRODUCTION

Self acceptance is acceptance of self in spite of deficiencies. According to


Shepard, self acceptance is an individual satisfaction or happiness with oneself and
thought to be necessary for good mental health. Self acceptance involves self
understanding,subjective,awareness of ones strength and weakness. It result is an
individuals freely about oneself that they are of unique worth.in clinical
psychology and positive psychology, self acceptance is considered the pre requisite
for change to occur. It can be achieved by stopping criticizing and solving, the
defects of oneself and then accepting them to be existing within oneself.

OBJECTIVES

To understand the self-acceptance level of students.


To measure their self confidence level.
To check the self-awareness level of individuals.
To analyses the thinking and mental capacity of different students.

HYPOTHESIS

I assumed that, almost all students have possess better self-acceptance level.
Because I prefer the B.Ed students for this analysis.

COLLECTION OF DATA

The study of the self acceptance level in each people were conducted at
Sree Narayana College of Education ,Muvattupuzha. In this study, the datas
were collected using survey method. It is mainly for determing the self
acceptance level of various peoples. For this, we are selected 20 student
teachers as a sample. A set of questionnaires were provided at the study time.
The students were fill this using their own mentality. Then the questionnaire
will collected and it will analyses. Then determining the values. Based on these
values, we also measured their level of self acceptance.

METHODOLOGY

The survey method is used for the determination of self-acceptance level in


different students.in this method, a set of questionnaires were provided for the
students.in this, there are 34 questions are included. The questions are in the
form of statements. When the person who agree this statement, they mark their
opinion as in the box false. When the student have above average level of self-
acceptance, they get the score in between 25-34. The score between 17-25 will
shows the level of average and the score below 17 will indicates below average
self-acceptance.

INTERPRETATION OF DATA

The study on the self acceptance level in various peoples were conducted in
Sree Narayana College of Education,Muvattupuzha. There are 20 student teachers
were selected for the study.a set of questions (34 questions) with marking boxes
will be provided. From the analysis, there are 11 students are included in the
average category, and 8 students were shows below average level and only one
student will show above average level. This will indicates most of the students are
included in the average self acceptance level. Their score in between 17 and 25.
The student will show above average level will indicates the high self acceptance.
The score of above average level student is 26.

From the above data, 55% of the students are included in the average self
acceptance level category and 40% were shows high self acceptance. The
variations were indicated the different mentality of peoples.

The different people have different thinking and mental capacity. Based on
their mental function, the levels of self acceptance are also varied. The survey
shows that most of the students are in the average level of self acceptance .
CONCLUSION

Self acceptance is an invitation to stop trying to change yourself in to the


person you wish to be long enough to find out who really are. Happiness is
determined by our level of self acceptance. A person who look self acceptance
would automatically try to deny or repress those feelings, disassociating
themselves from the reality of how they feel. However a person who is self
accepting can acknowledge that they may not be in the mood to work, they accept
their feelings.

Stop self criticism.


Start positive thinking about yourself.
Change your thoughts.
Stop complaining.
Love your own life.
Be more gentle and kind.
Stop expressing negative emotions.
Stop over thinking things.
Be happy with how you look.
