FRONT OF HOUSE VOLUNTEERS

All Front of House Volunteers are expected to arrive one full hour before the start of the
performance (unless otherwise requested) and stay until the end of the performance.

Thank you for volunteering your time and energy!

DRESS CODE
Black pants/skirts and white top or all black
Comfortable closed toed shoes, preferably black, no sandals
Name tag (must be returned to head usher or House Manager at the end of the night)
Flashlights are provided, but please bring your own if you can

RESPONSIBILITIES
Will Call distribute pre-purchased tickets to customers as they arrive.
Insert appropriate flyers into programs.
Ticket taking -- tear and keep the appropriate half (when appropriate). For assigned
seating shows, orient patrons toward their section.
Distribute programs to patrons as they enter the auditorium.
Seat patrons -- please become familiar with the seating chart.
Remain in assigned area during performance to assist patrons.
Collect programs at the end of the show. Help staff pick up large trash from audience
floor following performance.
Know correct procedure for seating patrons who arrive after the performance begins.
Alert House Manager and/or Assistant House Manager to any special patron needs or
issues.
Please note, the consumption of alcohol while volunteering is prohibited.

OTHER
Know location of handicapped restroom and other public restrooms
Be familiar with safety procedures in order to assist patrons in the case of an
emergency (see attached safety procedures)
~If the fire alarm sounds, the PA system will instruct people to
leave the building. Please assist patrons to the building exits. In
the event of any other emergency requiring evacuation, the House
Manager will make an announcement as to how to proceed.
