Day 1: DRAMA, Mime, Singing, Comedy COMPETETION

Day 2: Drama Theme Round Dance and Battle of Bands
(Host Performances)
Day 3: Results and Band Performances

 Round 1
Dramatics Clubs of different Institutes will showcase their strong
performances in Drama and Mime Category on Opening Day.
The time duration of dramas will be of 30 to 35 minutes and time duration
for mimes will be of 5 to 8 minutes max.
Participants will show their hidden talents of standup comedy along with
Singing. There will be good performances and Time duration for each
comedy act will be 5 minutes and same for Singers.

Theme Round
A theme will be given to each team and they will perform accordingly.
There will also be dance and singing performances.

Final Day
Results will be announced and Winner, Runner Up and 2nd runner up will
be awarded along with the following categories:
Best Team of the Event
Best Actor (Male, Female)
Best Drama
Best Mime
Best Singer
Best Band
Best Stand-up Comedy

Within a span of a few years, UMT DRAMATICS CLUB has earned itself a big

name and is undoubtedly well known for many theatre Performances, Dance/Mime

Performances, Standup Comedy and Street Theatres. We are proud to say that our

performers have performed on different type of stages at different places. Our

performances tend to focus on creating a sense of awareness and moderation

amongst the youth. Although we primarily cater to all types of crowd as we at

UMT DRAMATICS CLUB believe and reckon it as our foremost and top priority

that, entertainment should be made accessible to everyone and anyone, regardless

of their age.

With over 100+ representatives all over the city, UMT DRAMATICS CLUB

comprises of talented students, who through their hardcore commitment and

teamwork, go all out to make every event, project and task at hand a mega hit and

ensure that the best unrivaled experience is delivered.

 Our Core Team Aces

FOUNDER AND EX-PRESIDENT: CH.ABDULLAH

CH.ABDULLAH ASLAM is the Founder and Ex-President of
UMT DRAMATICS CLUB. He himself is a theatre actor,
director and producer. He has made several short films, worked
in GEO News and also worked as an Assistant Director of Hum
Sab Umeed Say Hain. Hes offered his 4 years as a UMT
Dramatics Club President and taken the initiative to organize 1st
Drama Festival of UMT which was a huge success and a kick-
start to his successful career as a Dramatics Club President.

Current President UMT DRAMATICS CLUB TALAL MEER

Director, Actor
He has worked in several commercial/short theatre and
Films.
Strong Acting skills, and a great performer and performed
in almost every Arts Festival and drama competitions in
Punjab.
He has been associated with UMT Dramatics Club for more
than three years and also worked with University of Lahore
Dramatics Club and Ajoki Theater for some time period
and done almost all of their projects.

 At present he deals with a team of 300 participants at UMT Dramatics Club
and directed their dramas, acts in them and delivers theater workshop every
month to his team.
Have a firm knowledge of Stage Art and theatre direction and productions.

Finance Secretary:

He is the best person in whole university whom we trust

Arsalan Ali Khan
blindly for managing our financial matters and he has
served UMT DRAMATCIS CLUB for 4 years.

Has managed our funds and kept them safe like a

mother protects her child. He is the backbone of our
Club.

Has a lot of experience in his this field and worked in

several companies.

Production and Management Head: Furqan Rajput
Has been working for theatre productions for more than
2 years.
Has served us in more than 10 plays.
Knows about the divisions and sub divisions of theatre
production and has an experience to handle and manage
all activities.

Fahad ASAD
Security Head:

A great asset to our team. He has been working

with UMT DRAMATICS CLUB for manageing
their events and providing them the firm security.
His team is consisted of 12 more members who are
able to cope with any sort of situation.
They are experienced and capable of fixing any
kind of mis management and are good at
managing emergency situations accordingly.

 Past Events and Performances

Kath Putli (Play)

The play Kath Putli, a full fledge commercial story, was performed on the biggest
platform of Punjab. Hundreds of people were there to see the performance and we
won the award of Best Theatre by provincial minister of education, Rana
Masshood at PUNJAB level.

Akhiyan Walio
Akhiyan Walio is another play performed at various platforms. Akhiyan walio is
about the current social problems of our society and discussed various socio-
political issues, with diverse subjects focusing the traditional values of our society.
The play revolves around the three main blind characters who criticized the current
political and social issues of our society, trying to wake up the public about the
situation and created a happy fusion through their humorous characters.

Gorakh Dhanda
Gorakh Dhanda is a commercial play based on one of the major issues of our
society. Where the religious preachers have an odd thinking that a Prostitute cant
perform religious practices as her earnings are dirty and it is totally forbidden for
them to do any kind of religious practices. We performed it at one of the biggest
platforms of Punjab in collaboration with Walled City of Lahore and our mentor
was well-known person Mr. Bilal Lashari.

SHAHID BANGAYA GENTLEMAN
The play SHAHID BANGAYA GENTLEMAN is based on a problem with the
rural people. As they visit the university campus for the first time and dont know
how to co-op with the elite class. They dont understand the English language and
no one wants to be their friend. Finally, he meets a girl of his village who tries to
match the level of upper class but the boy remains the same. The girl degrades him
and then gradually he starts
to change himself and match
his level too with the higher
class and transforms himself
in a better urban guy. This
play got standing ovation on
UMT JOB FAIR 2016 and
was highly appreciated by
different delegations.

DRAMAFEST
It is one of the event completely arranged by UMT DRAMATICS CLUB in AL-
HAMRA with different categories and great competition among teams or
individual. It is one of the biggest projects of UMT DRAMATICS CLUB with a
large number of audience. It was a great teamwork with full of talented and
enthusiastic students. The response was huge and the event was highly appreciated.
Participating teams were given an opportunity to show their creativity and a
platform is given to let them exhibit their own ideas and perspectives. More than
200 registrations in each category is always guaranteed. The categories of the
events were:

1. Stand-up comedy
2. Battle of Bands
3. Drama
4. Dance
5. Street Theater

Our Trainers:

Usman Peerzada: Mr. Usman Peerzada is the renowned TV actor

and the owner of Rafi Peer Theatre and puppet museum.

Irfan Khoosat: A well-known Pakistani Actor, Director and Producer

who is known for his comedy roles.

Maam Huma: She is a famous theatre director currently working

with Lok Rahs Pakistan. She is in to theatre field for more than 30
years.

 Ijaz Shahid: Brother of the famous actor Shan Shahid. He himself is
a Director and Producer.

Maam Rukhsana Khan: She is currently working with Punjab

theatre. She has been directing and writing theatre plays since 2003.

Aiman Mufti: Grandson of the great writer Mumtaz Mufti is a

director and trainer. He has a great knowledge of theatre and
trained many universities and art schools.

 RESPECTABLE SPONSORS - PLEASE NOTE

We are not offering any Premium, Gold or any other category for
sponsorships However we have a complete plan for the different levels of
marketing for the companies assisting us with different amounts.
The sponsors would be promoted during the marketing campaign of our
event, printed logos on our tickets, banners, standees, certificates etc
Please note that we would not provide any extra standee or banner for any
specific brand separately without having a deal. However a company may
provide his own standees or brochures to distribute among the audience
before or after the play.
The sponsors would be having 5 free seats per day.
The seats are offered on first come first serve basis. No reservations would
be made for the seats expect the chief guests of the Event.
In case of the cancellation of the Drama Fest by UMT Dramatics club
100% of your sponsored amount would be refunded to you. In case you want
to cancel your sponsorship for any personal reason, the amount paid back to
you would be no more than 50%. No amount would be refunded 7 days
before the Event, during the event dates or after the play. No amount would
be refunded in case of cancellation due to political instability, government
restrictions during the days, or any natural disaster.
