O R D E R:

In G.O. first read above, Government had fixed the Kilometre war rates for
the ordinary maintenance of roads as below:

1. Single lane C/w BT road for all Rs.12,000/Km

classification of roads

2. Double lane C/w BT road and Rs.15,000/Km

other multi lane B.T. roads

3. Earthen/gravel/WBM road of all Rs.6,000/Km.

2. Subsequently, in G.Os 2nd & 3rd read above, the Kilometre war rates in
respect of Core Network Roads only were fixed as Rs.15000/- for Single lane and
Rs.20,000/- for Double lane roads.

3. In the reference 4th read above, the Engineer-in-Chief (R&B) Administration &
QC, has informed that, a meeting of the Committee of ENCs/CEs of Roads &
Buildings department was held on 25-10-2014. Among certain other issues, it was
proposed to revise Kilometre-war rates for maintenance of R & B roads, in view of
escalation in cost of bitumen, lubricants, labour rates, BT patchwork & earth works
to berms etc. Hence, he has proposed to revise the Kilometre war rates as detailed
below:-

4. Government after careful examination of the matter hereby revise the

Kilometre war rates for the ordinary maintenance of roads of various surfaces as
detailed follows:-

1. Single lane C/w BT road for all Rs.24,000/Km

classification of roads

2. Double lane C/w BT road and Rs.30,000/Km

other multi lane B.T. roads

3. Earthen/gravel/WBM road of all Rs.12,000/Km.

5. The above orders are issued subject to not altering the regimen/instructions
contained in G.O.Ms.No.132, TR & B (R-1) Dept., Dated: 22-6-2005.

6. The Engineer-in-Chief (R&B), Administration & Q.C., shall take necessary

accordingly.

7. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance (EBS X) Dept., vide their
U.O. No.6856/170/A1/EBS X/2014, Dt.2-12-2014, Dt.02-12-2014.
