What do you see as the purpose of the Code of Ethics and

Principles of Professional Conduct of the Education Profession of
Florida?

The purpose of the Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional

Conduct of the Education Profession of Florida is to create a
learning environment that nurtures to fulfillment the potential of
all students. The Professional educator is held to a high standard
in the community, and thus should act with conscientious effort
to exemplify the highest ethical standards. The Code of Ethics
indicates the aspiration of all educators and provides standards
by which to judge conduct.

2. What is a specific detailed example from this semester when you

demonstrated being an ethical educator?

I have demonstrated being an ethical educator by not being

involved in negative talk about students. I have experienced
teachers talking badly about their students and saying things like
he is dumber than a rock. I do not participate in this kind of
talk and I would never. It is unethical to promote the student with
such low judgment.

3. How is each specific example connected to the Code of Ethics?

This example is connected to the Code of Ethics because when a

teacher is talking badly about their students this is going against
valuing the worth and dignity of every person. Participating in
such activities is embarrassing the student as well as
intentionally promoting the student as having no potential.
