Discharge of Mortgage
Review List

This review list is provided to inform you about this document in question and
assist you in its preparation. This is a standard discharge of mortgage and should
be filed with your registry of deeds if it relates to property you own. It is a
standard financial discharge form, which can be adapted to many related
purposes.

1. Make multiple copies. Give one to each related party. File one with the registry
of deeds. Keep one with the transaction file.

fully described in Exhibit 1, has been paid and satisfied in full and hereby
releases and discharges any and all right, title, interest claim and demand both at
law and in equity that it may have to the Mortgage and the property described
therein.

This Release shall inure to the benefit of the Owner and his heirs, executors,
legal representatives, successors and assigns.

SAMPLE DISCHARGE OF MORTGAGE

[list name of person discharging the mortgage - the "mortgagee"], an individual

with an address of [list address of mortgagee], the sole owner and holder of a
mortgage dated [list date mortgage was signed], in the amount of $[e.g. 50,000.00],
and executed by [list name of person signing the mortgage - the "mortgagor"], an
individual with an address of [list name of mortgagor], which mortgage was
recorded [list where and when mortgage was recorded], does hereby:
 1. Certify that the above mortgage and the debt secured by such mortgage are fully
paid, satisfied and discharged, and that the mortgage is fully and forever released from
the property described therein;

2. Release to the person or persons legally entitled thereto all right, title and interest
that the undersigned may have acquired in and to the property by reason of such
mortgage; and

3. Authorize and direct the Register of Deeds of said county to discharge and cancel
the mortgage of record.
