The Ultimate in small Lighting Consoles

CANTOR 48 offers :
24 channels with two presets
48 channels of single preset
CANTOR 96 additionally offers :
96 channels of single preset / 2 fader pages mode
Major features include channel flash, preset flash, soft
patch of up to 512 dimmers, plus 12 submasters which
can be individually programmed.
Manual or Memory - The Choice is yours
Just switch one selector and CANTOR instantly
changes from a simple manual desk to a powerful
memory control system.
Easy to use Keyboard
Allows fast access to memory selection, chasers, effects
& fade in, out and wait times. NEXT and LAST keys
allow direct access to the previous and next cue. Fast
key action to load the sum of several cues into a
submaster or a memory, copy a preset into a memory or
a submaster, recording submaster into a memory,
loading a memory into a submaster.
Each submaster has its own selection button in addition
to the flash button.
Patch up to 512 Dimmers
The desk offers a soft patch of up to 512 dimmers on
DMX512. A LIMIT function limits on the output of each
channel.
Banks and Memories
You hesitate between individual memories as used in
theatre and banks of submasters as used in the rock
world ? This is no problem for CANTOR 48/96 as up to
20 lighting banks and 200 individual memories can be
selected between 396 spaces.
This will even allow insertion of intermediate memories
such as 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 etc. inserted between
memories 7 and 8.
MIDI
The MIDI IN / OUT / THRU connections open the door
to a wide range of peripherals. Synthesizers and MIDI
sequencers have direct and unlimited access to any
desk function at any time via MIDI IN programming. The
MIDI section offers standard control of 127 Note
ON/OFF, Program Change and Control Change
commands on any of the 16 MIDI channels.
Any command can trigger a control sequence of up to
16 desk functions at a time. Control Change events
correspond to the faders Submaster, Playback,
Flash Master and Grand Master. MIDI OUT
programming allow the synchronisation of any other
MIDI equipment like sequencers, tape machines, CD
players, sound sampler, sound effect machines or any
other lighting console accepting MIDI events.
Memory Card Storage
By using a standard ADB memory card, complete
shows can be stored and retrieved in less than one
second! Data to be stored can be selected and
exchanged with other ADB desks like, e.g., TENOR.
For Total Control
Just connect an optional external monitor to the desks
RS232 serial port and have a compact and instant
summary of all relevant desk parameters. The monitor
screen allows you to visualise all actual DMX channel
output values, effect information, a memory playback
history list of up to 10 memories with all crossfade
parameters, an additional memory modification field, the
Master faders values, the 12 submasters contents and
a message section. A menu page offers easy access to
further desk programming functions.
Printing
Any serial printer can be directly connected to the
console for the print out of show memories, the patch
sorted by channel or dimmers, unused dimmer, chasers,
effects and banks.
Colour Changers
Just define any of the 96 channels to operate as a
colour changer channel and it automatically bypasses all
master faders, thus avoiding visible colour changes
during fades. Whenever a cue containing colour
changer channels is driven out on stage via the playback
or the submasters, first these channels are sent
immediately to their appropriate end value without
following the faders' movement, and then the intensities
follow taking the fade times into account.

Crossfading between cues
has been considered
carefully. There are two
independent submasters
(Stage and Preset) to control
the playback of memories
and effects. Crossfades can
be performed manually or
automatically, sequential or
auto sequential. The fade
times can be overridden by a
manual speed potentiometer.
Modifications of memories
on stage is easily achieved
without the necessity of re-
recording the cue.
Links allow non-sequential
combination of memories,
chasers or special effects.
Two LED displays visualise
all playback parameters:
active memory on stage,
preset, remaining fade
times. Green and red LEDs
monitor live and preset
channel values. By pressing
the playback start button,
the next crossfade is
automatically activated.
