This document provides a rubric to evaluate reading skills based on three categories: reading, voice, and expression. It rates performance as excellent, proficient, satisfactory, or poor. For excellent reading, the reader easily identifies words and reads at the right pace and volume while paying attention. For excellent voice, speech is clear at a slow pace with proper enunciation. For excellent expression, body language and facial expressions successfully convey meaning. Proficient involves minor errors, and satisfactory involves unclear speech half the time and inconsistent expression. Poor reading includes difficulty identifying words and lack of skills. Poor voice has unclear fast speech at low volume. Poor expression shows little body language or facial variation.
