- Your childrens acceptance in and by Jesus is their identity. That will protect them from riding the
rollercoaster of wins and losses, and the traps of pride and self-loathing that come from each.

A Dads greatest purpose is to be living proof for his kids of how much God loves them.

A Prayer for a Dads New Start: Lord Jesus, you have shown me a new way to be a father. But I
cant be a new father by being the same old man I have been. I confess that I have not been the
follower, husband or father You created me to be. Please forgive me. Make me new. I commit to
spend daily time in Your Word and in prayer. I will put You first; my wife second; my children
third. I surrender to You and to Your perfect plan for my life. I trust in Your death on the cross to
forgive me, put to death my old self, and wipe away my sin and past. I trust in Your resurrection to
raise me to new life and create a new heart in me. Jesus, please come into my life as my Lord and
Savior. I will love and follow You all my days. In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
