    Jazz drumming syllabus [48hrs-8weeks-2months] practical theory

    stand, Manuscript paper, mp3 player.

    History of jazz drumming
    Introduction to jazz drumming
    The five characters of triplet
    Triplet interpretations on 3\4 6\8
    Ride cymbal technique
    Cymbal line interpretation
    Ride cymbal patterns
    Three tunes to go(Summer Time, Autumn Leaves,
    Billies Bounce)
    WEEK 5 - WEEK 8
    The four way independent co-ordination
    Reading basic jazz chart
    Interaction of different parts in jazz drumming
    Study of jazz brush patterns 4\4 3\4
    Playing jazz groove with syncopation
    Jazz groove at different tempo
    Listening to great drummers
    Two tunes to go(Giant Step, Oh Jesus)

    WEEK 9 WEEK 12

    Introduction to salsa
    Afro-Cuban \ Afro-Latin
    The study of universal clave rhythm
    The study of salsa cadenza and soloing
