Collaboration: Environment Analysis, Part 2 (two-week activity)
In the previous week, students compared the results of their analysis of an organizations environment with that of their peers. This week, the will continue last weeks Collaboration by engaging in a discussion comparing the various environmental analysis frameworks themselves. Ensure that students spread their collaboration posts across at least three separate days of each week. They should discuss the prompts until Monday, Day 5, the finish the week with their Collaboration Individual Summary (250 words)
Module Project: First Submission (10%)
This week students will begin their analysis of the the company they selected in the in Week 1. For this second Module Project submission, they need to analyse the companys internal structure and its external environment using the frameworks they have encountered in the readings and classroom materials encountered so far (e.g. Dafts structural dimensions, Porters five forces model and Dafts contingency framework).
By Wednesday (Day 7) students submit an approximately 1,000-word analysis of the strategic
imperatives present in their organisations industry resulting from environmental conditions. They are required to address the topics of disruptive change and they must describe two specific challenges that they will address in their redesign effort to improve organisational sustainability and resilience in the face of disruptive change.
