Where Did My Clothes Come From? Many articles of clothing aren't made by the U.S. but by other countries. Part of the reason this is
happening is because the U.S. has strict child labor laws while alot of other countries are more lax
on this subject. Due to the less prominent presence of these laws, other countries often had children

these smaller wages some of the residents of these countries might have to work more than one job

and since there is alot of jobs in the manufacturing business many people probably work part time
there. Or, another cause of other countries producing more cloths could be population. For

example, China is a very populated country, and it was also the country that the majority of my
Indonesia 4 cloths came from. Due to the amount of people who are living there, China has to provide more job
options for people who don't have job options. Some of these extra jobs include working in factories
making clothing. Since this job isn't too hard, many people in China probably take on this task for
El Salvador 1 work. Because many other countries make and produce our clothing the U.S. has to trade with many
countries. Since we have the option to trade with other countries for clothing, the U.S. doesn't have
Guatemala 1 to produce much clothing. Only 2 % of my clothing was made in the U.S., which demonstrates that
the U.S. doesn't make near as much as other countries and trades with other countries for the
Vietnam 5 majority of their clothing products.
